decided to change my life a bit

Started a diet today and I am swearing off sugar/sweets/soda (except club soda with lemon or lime). Along with fatty foods/ fried foods/ obvious bad stuff.

Had a twelve peice sushi lunch and some fresh fruit. Dinner was a grilled chicken salad with mozzarella no dressing. it was delicious.

starting Monday morning and every morning except sunday and day off of work, at least 4 laps around my block before work.
Once I fall into the groove, no more driving to and from work. gonna walk/run, got to take advantage of the nice weather.
I want to see just what I can do for myself on my own steam before thinking about a gym.
I have recently had more and more people around me tell me that they are seeing a difference in my apperance and that is a real boost for motivating me to do this.
And for super serious, another thing that motivated me, a movie.
"Run Fatboy Run"

<lj-embed id="17" />

post Rochester post

The whole trip ended up to be surprisingly better than I thought it would be. We were treated like rock stars the entire weekend from after the first set till we left.
The drive up was cool with lightning over the skies in the night and we woke and had breakfast to notice we were next to the most villainous looking building.
anyways.
Highlights-
Glass walking routine was a huge success to my surprise. I fed off the rush of being up there which fueled me to do glass hopping and stomping and face washing. After the thing, i ended up with a few little nicks on my feet. no biggie at all.
Regina and I redid "Beat Me" which got a great response and we did a new one called "Toes" which people could not stop saying how awesome our chemistry for that number was. it was fun and was well accepted. We were the headline for the dinner on Saturday night which was cool as fuck, with a catwalk and everything. "Sugar In My Coffin" went smoothly and I got much praise for it along with how "A.M. 180" went. all of us apparently put a man into tears of how good we were from his experience as a doctor in the field of performance and theatre art for over 40 years. that says a lot about us and how all of us bring our own thing to the table to make our shows such an enjoyable experience due to it's variety.
dinner was awesome and we ended the night with Apples to Apples.
The breakfast buffet the next morning was bangin with awesome foods and the best part was that Sunday was pretty laid back for me for I only had my traps routine to do later in the afternoon.
the event ended and they can't wait to have us back already!
the drive home consisted of listing to the George Martin cd of beatles covers which is just cool as hell. and finding out that Apple Annies Diner was a) closed and b) full of rapists.....we ended up at Applebee's instead. and that part of the ride home had me laughing like nobody's business.
we got back around 2-30ish and I took George home and Regina to her home and I got back and into my bed a little after 5 a.m. with work at 12.

Ellory was allowed to tape my glass walking routine so as soon as i get ear that it's posted, you can be sure to catch it on an upcoming update.

Suggestions welcomed/needed for routine.

does it suck that I really don't have the ideal playing feild or area to practice my fire eating and breathing? yeah, for the most part. that is, when i'm using fire at that time. So i figure, hell, why not still practice by going cold. (do routine and plan one out without the main element.

So I didn't really want to take the cheesey way out and use a song that has to do with fire. for instance, Angelica's act takes my breath away every time i ever got the chance to see it and her song was "Blue Angel" from the Squirrel Nut Zippers.
This past saturday, I went to alumni weekend at Sideshows by the Seashore and got to meet and talk to and watch Tyler Fyre. One of the coolest things, his song, "Dark Night" by The Blasters. You all have heard it if you ever watched the opening to "Dusk Till Dawn"
I really wanted to go with something classy sounding like Angelica for the laid back look of a routine but at the same time, the ruggedness and edge that Tyler has with his routine is mind blowing.

I, as of now am thinking of doing a routine to "Fire" by Hendrix. But I am all for new suggestions. Anybody have an idea? inquiring inquirerers want to know.

For those who were uninformed.

Gerardo P. "Jerry" Immersi Sr., 91, of Toms River, formerly of Newark, passed away on Saturday April 4, 2009, after a long illness. Funeral is on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Megaro Memorial Home, 503 Union Ave., Belleville, (megaromemorialhome.com). Mass is at 10:30 a.m. in St. Lucy's Church, Newark. Gerardo was a gentle soul who will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and his dog "Weezer".
Published in the Star-Ledger on 4/6/2009

He was buried the morning of April 8th, 2009.
He was sent off in formal military style.
He was escorted through Newark and passed by 157 Garside St.
He was the greatest hide and seek player I ever knew. That would be my own special memory of him.

It snowed before and after the time spent in the cemetery. Not during.

For my friends that read my lj. I have decided to take some time out of Rocky for myself over this. This saturday's zombie night will be my last show until after the Convention in Cincinnati.

Fresh well needed break.

So I can't remember the last time that I got two weeks off from Rocky. It was well needed, I mean, yeah the week before was just because so many people called out for party reasons but still, the two weeks will let me go back this saturday with a fresh mind and taste..considering i have off the whole day, i wont have to slave away at work all day and feel out of it for the performance..and I get to perform with three people from NYC...pretty sweet.

So anyway, instead, I went and supported my love last night by going to a late night showing of REPO! at the MMAC on bloomfeild ave...I walked in and Matt Gerber is wailing away some songs...acoustics for the place were not good but he is an excellent performer so much energy and presence. Meet up with Regina and Sandy and Jon and Ellory and headed upstairs...and I got to watch rehearsals and ended up not having to pay for the night...sweet deal!

I should have at first, only performers and shadowcast didn't have too but after the preshow numbers, something happened with the projector and they needed some stalling so I whipped out my mousetrap for the crowd and grossed them out a bit=free show for performing.
Holy crap small small theatre upstairs but twas a fricking blast to be at! I mean yeah, the movie has its slow moments and such but some quickly thought up callbacks made it friggin fun as hell! I did not see one unhappy face at the end of the whole thing!
Afterwards, I took my love home and stopped at the diner, we watched some show on FX called "1000 ways to die"....it's pretty fricking sweet!

got home and woke up this morning to find my brother had a small gift for me! He found that ShopRite liquors in Wharton carry CONEY ISLAND LAGER!!!!!! and he tried out Donny's Human Blockhead tough as nails lager...bottle completes my set so after work tomorrow, I know I am booking it like a librarian to the store and picking myself up some of the sweet sweet nectar....Donny says his tastes like carmel and it's seasonal with 10% alcohol by volume. the most out of the C.I. lager selection.

It just happened recently actually, and I'm counting over other stuff due to the fact that it came from a perfect stranger, answering this by saying "my so and so said i look nice or my boss told me i did a good job today"...just kinda bland.

Anywho, I didn't go to Casey and Liz's place for the party and instead just stayed in a relaxed for the night but my brother felt bad cause I'm out every single saturday night...for the last like years so he invited me to a bar nearby in Wharton to celebrate a co workers birthday or something...anyway, we drink and play darts and in conversation, the whole thing about my talents and skills that I learned some months ago comes up.... Now most of you may know this by now but I do not walk out of the house without a 30 penny nail and mousetrap on me so as to give people a taste of what I do. I ended up doing the human blockhead by hammering it with my smirnoff ice bottle and afterwards, the guy from across the bar came up to me and said something along the lines of
"For the past 50 someodd years, I have seen that on t.v. and seen pictures in the news and have heard about it, and tonight was the first time i ever got to see that in person, and for that, I thank you very much. I hope you go far with your talents." and said this as he shook my hand. it's great to get unexpected true, honest ego boosts like that from time to time.

Wilhelm look revamp...

So I have been throwing it around in my head here and there to change up Wilhelm a bit...kinda update him...
no doubt, what I do for WEBS is definitely out of the norm because well, there is a difference between being a hot woman and stripping like the next big burlesque star and intentionally doing stuff that can well....kil...really really really really really hurt you.

I just purchased my first longspring animal trap do complete my "unnatural acts with animal traps" routine that I have half done with my mousetrap....cept this baddie is a bit bigger and meant for me to stick my hand into.

So I have been thinking, a lot of what I do consists of hand held props in order to perform such nasty things and I thought it would be an awesome arts and crafts project for me to make myself or make Wilhelm his own "batman" like utility belt.

In my mind and how i picture it, it would just be an easy thing to carry most of my stuff around with me instead of a bag or something. A belt with a holster for my mousetrap, sheaths for my torches on one side and one on the opposite for my hammer, bullet holder like sheaths for some nails or hanging pocket closeable holster to have my nails in, another holster for condoms/balloons to do mental floss and latex gloves to do my howie mandel impersonation and hanging off of it by being tied, the chain that connects to my soon to be mailed longspring trap. of course finished off with a batman belt buckle that Regina gave to me.

thoughts???
